Construction & EPC Disputes

Overview

Construction and infrastructure dispute resolution is a defining pillar of DRSB Law Chambers’ practice. We advise and represent contractors, employers, public sector undertakings, and subcontractors in disputes arising out of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contracts – with particular expertise in FIDIC-based contracts governing large-scale infrastructure projects.

Our experience extends across infrastructure and energy projects, including power generation, transmission and distribution, oil and gas supply, transportation and processing arrangements, roads and highways, bridges, airports and aviation infrastructure, metro rail systems, and water and urban infrastructure developments throughout India.

What We Do

  • EPC contract disputes – drafting and arguing claims, counter-claims, and defences
  • Extension of time (EOT) claims and related delay analysis
  • Variation and additional cost claims
  • Liquidated damages – analysis, negotiation, and dispute
  • Bank guarantee injunctions – restraining encashment pending arbitral proceedings
  • Engineer’s notices, suspension notices, and termination disputes
  • Cross-examination of technical and quantum witnesses
  • FIDIC contract interpretation – Red, Yellow, and Silver Books
  • Coordination with technical experts in construction disputes

Client identities, matter-specific details, and representations before Courts and Arbitral Tribunals have been redacted to preserve confidentiality obligations and protect privileged client information.
